I would give Dr. Slaton and the veterinary hospital a 5 Star or better. My dog had to have surgery for bladder stones and instead of opening her up he performed state of the art laser lithotripsy. Ended up keeping her for a few days as she had severe inflammation every day he either called me or sent me an email or text to give me her progress. He even took pictures and sent them to me. Dr. Slaton is not only a wonderful doctor, he’s a genuinely wonderful person. He helped us through a very difficult time battling osteosarcoma (a horrible cancer). He provided support and advice without hesitation and requiring a ton of visits and tests. He cares about his patients and their family. Wonderful office filled with wonderful people. Despite our loss, we will continue being parents to others and entrust Slaton Vet with all our loved ones.

We only started going to Slaton Veterinary Hospital last year, but the kindness and care that we experienced was unparalleled. Dr. Mendoza is wonderful. I’m so grateful to Dr. Slaton and the entire team! My French Bulldog Tommy recently had soft palate and nares surgery along with a neuter, and everything went so smoothly. The doctor was incredibly attentive, gentle, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He showed genuine care for my dog both before and after the procedure, and I felt confident my dog was in good hands. Everyone is friendly. Until they write their prescriptions and make mistakes that cause the animal's body to go into shock. Overall friendly but careless.

Unfortunately both our cats need to come on over the past week but thanks to Dr Slaton and team they are back on the mend. Dr Slaton and the staff communicate well and showed Isabelle and Prince lots love while they were there- so thankful to know they are being treated by people who truly care.

I’m new to the area and hated having to leave my vet that I had gone to for years. I had recently rescued a shelter pup and she was shy and had some skin and digestive issues. Dr. Slaton and his staff have been wonderful with her and with my 6 year old morkie. Most impressive for me though is how responsive the office is. Despite a couple minor hiccups, I still feel great about my cat’s first visit here. I moved and needed a new vet, and I read so many great recommendations about this vet. My cat was not terrified, so I’m taking her comfort level as a good sign. Caring doctors and support staff follow up call was unexpected and appreciated.

I've been here a few times now. Place is excellent. My dog had a couple break downs through the past couple years with hot spot, fur, he has dental issues, and needed a small surgery one time. This is my vet.

The staff, the doctors, the environment are all top notch. They are kind, knowledgeable, available —-I can’t say enough. I have 3 herding dogs and they recently helped me and my adult son euthanize my 17 year old cat, Lilly. It’s never easy, but they were so kind, even sending a condolence card personally signed by each staff member. We were blown away.

I recently put down my 2.5 year old sweet pet rat Miriam. It's never easy to get to this point with your beloved fur baby, but having a loving vet ease this experience with compassion and kindness, is everything. A huge shout out to our amazing vet, Dr. Slaton at Slaton Veterinary Hospital for supporting her transition to be as peaceful as possible.
