Highly recommend! This was my first time here, and Dr. Mendoza is amazing! My little fur baby, Rocky, had ingested something, and Dr. Mendoza got him in right away. He was so thorough and kind, and within hours my boy was doing great! He even called the next day to check in on him. I highly, highly recommend Slaton Veterinary Hospital!

I started seeing Dr. Slaton last year for my two rescue dogs after a handful of bad experiences with other vet offices. Both dogs came with significant issues- one is now a senior who has always had bad teeth that are now causing other secondary health issues, and the other who was a stray with a biting problem who ultimately needed to be put down. The front office staff was welcoming and super friendly. Dr Slaton was gentle with our timid little one. He listened and gave sensible advice and options. The clinic is clean. The atmosphere his chill and caring.

I visited a while ago, my dog was uninsured and was hit by a car causing her serious injuries on one of her limbs, my dog was rushed to a vet hospital and was told that she needed amputation, that’s when I looked online and found Slaton’s veterinary hospital, was given an appointment immediately and she was seen by Dr Slaton. Very professional staff. You can tell how great they are with animals, especially when your 6 month old kitten lets all the staff hold him!! Knowledgeable and thorough with every question asked. We will be back!

Hands down the best vet you can take your pets to and I’ll be going to them for any and all my pets heath needs for as long as they are around. I have 3 dogs and each time I’ve taken them here my dogs are always treated well and everything is always broken down to me very simple and easy to understand of what my animals need. I would give Dr. Slaton and the veterinary hospital a 5 Star or better. My dog had to have surgery for bladder stones and instead of opening her up he performed state of the art laser lithotripsy. Ended up keeping her for a few days as she had severe inflammation every day he either called me or sent me an email or text to give me her progress. He even took pictures and sent them to me. Dr. Slaton is not only a wonderful doctor, he’s a genuinely wonderful person. He helped us through a very difficult time battling osteosarcoma (a horrible cancer). He provided support and advice without hesitation and requiring a ton of visits and tests. He cares about his patients and their family. Wonderful office filled with wonderful people. Despite our loss, we will continue being parents to others and entrust Slaton Vet with all our loved ones.

We only started going to Slaton Veterinary Hospital last year, but the kindness and care that we experienced was unparalleled. Dr. Mendoza is wonderful. I’m so grateful to Dr. Slaton and the entire team! My French Bulldog Tommy recently had soft palate and nares surgery along with a neuter, and everything went so smoothly. The doctor was incredibly attentive, gentle, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He showed genuine care for my dog both before and after the procedure, and I felt confident my dog was in good hands.
